About the desk
First Choice Loans started as a North Perth conversation about how ordinary households actually borrow: home loans first, then the personal and car finance that sits around them. The old shopfront language — practical, unhurried, slightly sceptical of slogans — is the voice we still write in.
The Wayback Machine no longer holds a usable copy of firstchoiceloans.com.au, so this rebuild is an editorial reconstruction: a Capes-tier journal for Australian borrowers, not a lender website and not a comparison-table farm. We explain structures, trade-offs and paperwork. We do not originate loans, take brokerage, or rank products for a fee unless a link is clearly marked rel="sponsored".
What we cover
The masthead is organised into six topic hubs: home loans, first home buyers, refinancing, personal loans, car loans and borrowing power. If a reader could sit at a kitchen table in Midland, Dandenong or Logan and ask the question, it belongs here.
Independence
Editors do not take trail commissions. Product names appear when they illustrate a structure, not because a lender paid for placement. Guest contributors must declare conflicts. Our editorial standards and write for us guidelines explain how we handle corrections, sponsored links and sources.
