Editorial standards
These rules sit behind every guide in the article archive. They are written for readers first, search engines second.
Voice and scope
We write in Australian English. We describe products as they are sold under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, not as US mortgages with local nouns swapped in. Figures in dollars are examples, not live rates. When a scheme changes — the 5% deposit program, stamp duty thresholds, APRA buffers — we date the piece and point to the administering agency.
Not advice
Copy is general information. We do not recommend a lender, a fixed-rate period, or a debt-consolidation path for an individual. Where a choice is high-stakes (using the family home as security for a personal debt), we say so in plain language.
Sources
Prefer primary documents: ASIC, APRA, the Reserve Bank, Housing Australia, state revenue offices, and the lender's own credit guide. Comparison-site league tables are illustrations, not gospel. People Also Ask phrasing is used to match how Australians search; it does not license copied answers.
Links
Navigational links are real <a href> elements with descriptive anchor text, following Google's crawlable-links guidance. Paid, affiliate and guest-post commercial links use rel="sponsored". See write for us.
